What Kind of Care Fits Here?
The useful question is not whether every neck or back problem is a chiropractic problem. It is whether your particular problem is an appropriate fit after a history and examination.
A person who is stiff after a car accident brings a different history from someone whose lower back has been bothering them after weeks of work, driving, lifting, or ordinary life. Both can reasonably start with an evaluation. Neither should be promised a result before one.
For general information about the scope and evidence, see chiropractic care. If a collision started the problem, see car accident care.
Who Provides the Care
Care at Spine & Motion is provided by Nicholas Heuker, DC.
What a Patient Should Be Able to Expect
A healthcare visit should not require you to understand chiropractic terminology before you walk in. You should be able to explain what happened in your own words, understand what the examination is trying to determine, ask questions, and decide whether the proposed next step makes sense to you.
Consent matters. So does knowing when a problem belongs with another kind of clinician. If that is the conclusion, a referral or recommendation to seek different care is a useful outcome, not a failed visit.
